Trying to find a niche in the photographic market is a challenging undertaking, being a specialist or a generalist has both pitfalls and advantages. I have settled on somehwhere in the middle. Choosing those photographic genre's that interest me - sports, wildlife and general interest photography (this being the catch all catagory). Ultimately it does not really matter what you decide, but it is important to get your work outthere, and in front of the people that matter.

My image, "Gannet" was selected as a finalist in round 2 of the "Capture the perfect Amarula Sunset" competition. The image appeared on the opening page of Wild magazine, Autumn 2011 edition.
I was recently requested to supply the images that i shot at the 2011 Ironman South Africa, that takes place in Port Elizabeth each year, for publication in the official Ironman Magazine. I was really chuffed to have a large selection of my images used in the 2011 edition of the magazine.
